Campaign objectives

Restore. Strengthen. Endow.

Seventy percent of every dollar raised restores the 130-year-old White House, the heart of Mass Delta and the oldest active fraternity house in the nation. The remaining 30% strengthens the Brown House for the long term and endows a permanent Chapter Education Fund for future brothers.

Objective 02

Brown House Improvement Fund

$150KAllocation · 15% of campaign

Underwrite long-term maintenance, structural reserves, and capital improvements for the Brown House so the chapter can steward its second property for the long term. Protects future operating dollars for programming, scholarship, and ongoing upkeep.

Phase 2 · 2026–27
Objective 03

Seed the Chapter Education Fund

$150KAllocation · 15% of campaign

A permanent, board-managed fund supporting academics (IQP/MQP, leadership training) and helping brothers overcome financial barriers. Outlasts the campaign and compounds impact for generations.

Generations of brothers

The generations of brothers making this possible.

Vision 150 is a multi-generation effort. Every pledge class is on the board — from the men who lived the 1968 fire to the brothers initiated last fall. Participation rates are updated quarterly through the close of the campaign.

Frequently asked

Questions, briefly answered.

Is my gift tax-deductible?+

Yes, when given through our 501(c)(3) tax-deductible pathway. Mass Delta has partnered with the SAE National Foundation to establish the Mass Delta Chapter Allocation Fund (CAF). Gifts of $10,000 or more are fully tax-deductible through the CAF; the SAE Foundation issues your receipt. Smaller gifts to MADBOD (a 501(c)(7)) are not tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor for advice specific to your situation.

How does the $400,000 match work?+

Lead donors from the Classes of 1979 and 1985 have committed a combined $400,000 to match alumni gifts. Our total goal is $1M; the alumni community needs to raise the first $600K, which then unlocks the $400K match. Every dollar you contribute through August 1, 2026 counts toward unlocking that match.

How will the $1M be divided?+

White House Exterior — $300K. White House Bathrooms & Bedrooms — $300K. White House Kitchen & Interior Halls — $100K. Brown House Improvement Fund — $150K. Chapter Education Fund — $150K. Each line item is scoped, quoted by local contractors, and overseen by the Mass Delta Board of Directors.

Can I make a recurring or pledged gift?+

Yes. Recurring monthly gifts span up to 5 years, charging once a month through the saewpi.com giving portal. Multi-year pledges (typically 3 or 5 years) are honored in full toward your recognition tier even when paid out across years. Reach out for custom pledge schedules.

What about stock, DAF, or IRA-rollover gifts?+

We accept appreciated securities, donor-advised fund (DAF) recommendations, and IRA qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) — all tax-efficient pathways processed through the SAE Foundation CAF. Contact giving@mass-delta.org for the chapter's EIN, broker DTC instructions, and bank wire details.

Will my employer match my gift?+

Many employers — particularly engineering firms employing WPI alumni — match charitable gifts to a 501(c)(3). Check your employer's matching-gift program; the chapter is happy to provide tax-ID documentation. Employer matches are added to your recognition tier.

Who is on the Massachusetts Delta Board of Directors?+

The Mass Delta Board of Directors (MADBOD) is the 501(c)(7) governing body of the chapter, made up of alumni who oversee chapter operations, housing, finance, and alumni engagement. Current members:

  • Eli Ellis '20 — President
  • Josh Martin '22 — Vice President of Finance
  • Mitch DeVillers '23 — Vice President of Housing
  • Adam Olson '23 — Vice President of Alumni Engagement
  • Tim Walsh '24 — Clerk
  • Evan MacGregor '23 — Director of Professional Development
  • Marc Rosenthal '23 — Director of Housing Improvement
  • Eric Reardon '21 — Director of Alumni Engagement
  • Chris Mercer '21 — Director of Website Engagement
  • Arly Dungca '07 — Director of Development
Can I give anonymously?+

Yes. Anonymous gifts are honored without listing in the donor recognition section. You can request anonymity at the time of giving or contact the committee at any time to update your listing preferences.

What if I can only give a small amount?+

Every gift counts. Smaller gifts are recognized alongside Vision Gifts and Leadership Gifts on the donor roll, and small gifts in volume are how a chapter campaign signals widespread alumni support. There is no minimum to participate.

The next chapter starts now.

130 years of brotherhood at WPI. The next 150 begin with your gift.
